Napoli presenta America's Cup 2012 - Naples presents America's Cup 2012

 

Quest’anno l'America’s cup si terrà a Napoli, la città potrà vivere l’emozione della Coppa d’America nel mese di aprile 2012 e di maggio 2013.
L’evento darà la possibilità agli italiani di osservare da vicino i migliori velisti del mondo che gareggeranno per l’America’s Cup. Un grande e importante evento che attirerà l’attenzione di tutto il mondo.
Il Villaggio Regate sarà a Bagnoli, un piccolo quartiere situato a ovest di Napoli.
Il primo appuntamento con la Coppa America è in programma tra il 7 e il 15 aprile c.a. L’evento che si terrà l’anno prossimo (2013), invece, si svolgerà tra l’11 e il 19 maggio. Quest’ultimo sarà l’atto finale dell’AC World Series. Infatti, a fine gara i team partiranno per San Francisco per conquistare la Louis Vuitton Cup e per le finali dell’America’s Cup. Questo significa che i campioni 2012-2013 saranno incoronati nel nostro capoluogo: Napoli.

L’America’s Cup World Series offrirà dei percorsi brevi e stretti per rendere il tutto molto competitivo.
Ci sarà una prova di velocità pura, un evento di match race e una serie di regate di flotta che vedranno impegnati  nove AC45 identici.
Quest’evento, inoltre, è una grande occasione per vedere i protagonisti della Coppa d’America regatare tutti insieme.
Questo di sicuro rinnoverà l’immagine di Napoli, porterà risorse e metterà Napoli sotto i riflettori dei media di tutto il mondo. E’ un grande passo in avanti per la città partenopea e per tutta la regione Campania.

This year Naples will host the America's Cup, the city will be able to live the emotion of America's Cup on April 2012 and May 2013.

The event will give to Italians the possibility of watching closely the best yachtsmen in the world that vie for the America's Cup. It's a big and important event that will draw the attention of all the world. The Regatta Village will be in Bagnoli, a small quarter situated at west of Naples.

The first date is on April between the 7th and 15th (2012). The event we'll have the next year will happen on May between the 11th and 19th. Latter will be the final act of the AC World Series. In fact, at the end of the contest the team will leave for San Francismo for winning the Louis Vuitton Cup and for the finals of the America's Cup. This means the champions 2012-2013 will be crowned in Naples.

The America's Cup World Series will offer short and narrow courses for making all very competitive.

 There will be a pure speed trial, an event of match race and a series of fleet regattas where we'll have nine identical AC45s.

This event, moreover, is a big occasion for seeing the protagonists of the America's Cup to compete together.

Surely, this will refresh the image of Naples, will make to talk about Naples in all the world. It's a step forward for the Neapolitan city and for all the Campania.
